I am a huge fan of Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories, and I was rather diappointed by Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes.  Don’t get me wrong; It was a great movie, but Sherlock Holmes was not the correct title. Two Guys and an Adventure would be more appropriate. Recently I found out about BBC’s Sherlock mini series.  I watched the first one, and, of course, I was expecting it to be either just decent or cruddy.  My mind was fairly quickly changed.  Somehow Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat perfectly captured the essence of Holmes and Watson.  It was even modern day! I quickly finished the rest of the series, and I still was not disappointed.  I have had a very clear image of Sherlock in my mind, and I was amazed when I saw him on the screen!  221B was even presicely how I thought it should be.  The relationship between Holmes and Watson was a bit different than I had imagined, but after watching the series with this parralel, I think I like it better!  I have watched “A Study in Pink” a total of three times, and I love it every time.  I was set in my ways that Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce were the best Holmes and Watson duo, but now I am not so sure.  Cumberbatch and Freeman are excellent!

Now, I just wish that there would be more episodes!
